Using the layout generator codes

Once you have generated your free layout code on the howrseinfo layout generator it is easy to put it into your howrse profile.

Click on the "Select all" button and the HTML code for your layout will be selected and turn blue.

You can either right click then choose copy or with the code selected you can press control (Ctrl) C on your keyboard

Then go to your Howrse profile - my page, profile then click on modify

Make sure you click on the green HTML mode button

Left click the cursor over the area where your presentation will go and then Ctrl V or right click and paste to paste your HTML code into your profile

The HTML code will appear in your modify profile box, go to the bottom and save the presentation

Once your profile is saved it is easy to change the text.

Click on the modify button again, then left click to get your cursor where you want your text to go. Write your new text.

Then you can highlight all the text from the generator, or text that you do not want, just delete any text you do not want.

When you have got rid of the text you do not want save the presentation.

It is important that you do not delete all the text first before you put your text in otherwise you may loose all the commands to make the text that colour and font type.

Hey so whenever i paste in my layout, it works just fine. However, once i go to put the text into the text boxes, a bubble at the top of the page pops up and says: "The presentation that you have written cannot be published for one of the following reasons:
The HTML tags are incorrectly formulated
It contains HTML tags that are not authorized
If this problem occurs, it's probably because you tried to edit your file with the HTML mode. Check the formatting of your text carefully!"
Help me!! What did I do wrong??!!!

It keeps saying that it is in the wrong format whenever I try to save it. I think I am doing all of the right things, so I need help! also my background image is turning out really small and won't cover the whole layout. I'm mablepony1999 on U.S howrse and wolfgirl1999 on international Howrse.

i understood it and it was soooo helpful
-you have to of not started a presentation yet
- if you see the HTML button press that then paste , save and you have a layout smilies/wink.gif

* note i would use narrow the wide layouts are really big mine is waay too wide PM me on howrse it's my name up there ^

Umm im trying to put a layout on another website. It works well except for the background isnt there. I have no idea how to fix it and why it wont work! smilies/angry.gif
