Preview

This tutorial will explain how to preview your HTML code, take a screenshot and then put your layout on HMB for other players to see and use. Please be aware the Howrse has its own rules so even if the HTML works OK here it may not work as well on Howrse, you will need to check it on Howrse as well.
Step 1 You can either copy and paste your HTML code into the box or write your code straight into the box. Then press the view button. Free JavaScripts provided by The JavaScript Source
Step 2 A new window will open. You need to take a screen shot of your layout. If it is to big to fit on the screen make the page smaller. To do this in Internet Explorer click on the Page option, then Zoom and then the percentage to reduce the screen size. You may need to use the custom option and put in your own %. On your computer keyboard press the control button (normally bottom left on your keyboard) then keeping the control button pressed press the Print Screen button as well (top right)

If you have a software program like Photoshop or Paint Shop you can paste your screenshot into there.
If you do not have these software packages you can use the Paint option on your computers. On your desktop go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint. Then Edit and Paste.

Step 4 In Paint choose the select option. This is the rectangle dots button. Put the cursor over the top left corner of your layout and with the left mouse button clicked drag the cursor to the bottom right of your layout, then let go of the left mouse button. The layout should now have the dots all around it. Making sure your cursor is on your layout inside the dotted area, right click on your mouse and Copy. Then on Paint choose File, New. Do not save the untitled document. Then Paste and you should now just have your layout as the image. Save this image on your computer as a gif or jpg format.
Step 5 Host this picture on the internet. If you have a photobucket account you can use that. Tinypic is another alternative. There are a few sites available. Here are the instructions to use Tinypic. Browse to find the picture on your computer and then upload.
Step 6 You will now get the codes you need in different formats. Use the IMG code for forums and message boards for your HMB post to share your layout. Just copy the IMG code into your post.
